Welcome to the Tweetalysis blog. I will be using this page to document the progress of my independent study project in the Information Technology and Informatics program at the Rutger University School of Communication and Information. The goal is to build a real world web application for the increasingly popular social media service, Twitter. The application aims to offer businesses a web based dashboard where personalized information such as tweets/hr on a set of keywords, ReTweet rate and reach, and most importantly overall sentiment towards the business can be monitored. The project will be coded largely in PHP and has a deadline of mid December 2009 for the initial rollout. You can follow my progress here, on Twitter, and at Tweetalysis.net.
